About

Who's writing this?

I'm clembaum — offline, Clemens Baumann: a researcher, lecturer, and filmmaker near Vienna who can't stop thinking about how stories carry knowledge.

Why this exists

This is where I write. Long essays, shorter notes, the occasional experiment — on storytelling, media, technology, AI, and what all of it does to how we understand the world. Some pieces are finished thoughts; most are me working an idea out in the open.

I try to take ideas seriously without taking myself too seriously.

The person behind it

By day I research interactive and immersive storytelling for museums and cultural heritage at USTP, the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten, teach dramaturgy and game design, and make films. The portfolio, the projects, and the slightly more formal version of me live at clemensbaumann.at.
